Heidi
This is Heidi. She was born from Wizzy and Sarah in the first litter, and is six years old. Heidi is also special because she is our last viable female. This year we separated Heidi for heat, as we cannot have another litter for funding reasons. Originally when it was just Heidi, Huggins and Muggins as the pups, Heidi dominated them all. Now since the reign of the Brat Pack, Heidi is one of the three low girls. However during heat this year Heidi came up with a clever plan, executed it, and almost successfully became the alpha female in one quick instant. Now things are back to normal with Mariah and Shylee on top, but next year the betting is on Heidi. In fact, we are all kind of rooting for her because in order for her to eventually have puppies she must be the alpha, and she is the last viable one. Since heat she has been pretty proud of her successful little scheme and been walking around cockily with a big smile on her face. What a goofball!

Heidi has an interesting appearance. She seems a little taller and narrower than most of the other wolves, especially in the face. She has a long skinny snout and her eyes are close together. Sometimes when she looks at you she even seems slightly cross-eyed. Heidi is mostly white with a light spray of gray across her back, tail, and sides.

Heidi is a very clever girl with a very unique humorous personality. She is not one of our most human friendly wolves, but seems to be very curious with people. She will come very close to you and check you out, but seems to want nothing to do with being touched by people. She really just doesn’t understand human interaction and seems to try to communicate in her own way. Maybe when she gets older she will open up a little more, and maybe she is just waiting for the right person to come along. You can look for Heidi in the low girls’ corner, which is the section closest to the highway. Her tail will either be in a neutral or tucked (submissive) position.
